San Bernardino County officials gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of the Pacific Village Campus Expansion, a transformative $75 million investment aimed at providing permanent housing, behavioral health treatment, and holistic wraparound services for individuals experiencing homelessness and complex care needs. Located at 2626 Pacific Street in San Bernardino, the expanded campus will include 58 units of permanent supportive housing, a 32-bed substance use treatment facility, and 32 recuperative care units.
San Bernardino County officials joined Congressman Pete Aguilar and residents to celebrate the groundbreaking of a long-awaited $4 million street improvement project in the unincorporated Little 3rd area of San Bernardino. The project will deliver vital infrastructure upgrades including full pavement reconstruction, street widening, sidewalks, ADA-compliant curb ramps, and safer routes to school.
Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. has allocated $562,500 to support the launch of a Drone First Responder (DFR) Program for the San Bernardino Police Department. This funding will cover 75% of the program’s total cost and represents a significant step forward in enhancing the department’s emergency response capabilities.
Acquisition of Days Inn San Bernardino for Permanent Housing
 The acquisition of the Days Inn in San Bernardino will create 50 permanent housing units serving disabled and elderly homeless individuals.
Acquisition of Rodeway Inn Colton for Emergency Shelter and Interim Housing
The acquisition of the Rodeway Inn in Colton will provide 120 beds for emergency shelter and interim housing, supporting nearby hospitals with patient discharge planning in accordance with SB 1152.
Automated License Plate Readers for Unincorporated Communities of Arrowhead Farms, Bloomington, Rosena Ranch, and Muscoy
 35 Automated License Plate Readers will be installed in Arrowhead Farms, Muscoy, and Rosena Ranch totalling $364,750 with 20 being installed in Bloomington for $211,000. These systems will enhance public safety by helping law enforcement identify and track vehicles involved in crimes. The system captures vehicle data only—no facial recognition or personal information is collected.
City of Colton to aid Enforcement of San Bernardino County Flood Control District ordinances
 A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the City of Colton will allow police officers and code enforcement officers to aid in the enforcement of San Bernardino County Flood Control District ordinances related to parking and trespassing on Flood Control District property within Colton’s city limits. Supports public safety and property protection by authorizing local enforcement of district rules on flood control properties such as channels and restricted areas.
