Earlier this month, I had the pleasure of welcoming Chris Hayre, Sports Reporter for KCAL 9 News, to my District Office in Chino Hills for a behind-the-scenes look at all the exciting things happening in the Fourth District.
In the first segment, we kicked things off with a spotlight on The Ontario Sports Empire—a game-changer for our area. This amazing venue will soon house the Dodgers Minor League team, adding a whole new level of excitement to our sports scene.

In the second segment, Chris stopped by Bullwinkle's in Upland. It’s not just about reliving the good ol’ days; it’s about bringing fresh fun and memories to a new generation. Chris got the scoop on how the revamped Bullwinkle’s is ready to keep the nostalgia alive while adding some exciting new twists.
To wrap up the day, Chris headed over to the Montclair Plaza to experience Main Event! With bowling, laser tag, and all sorts of entertainment, it’s sure to be a hit for families, friends, and anyone looking for a good time.

 San Bernardino County Code Enforcement and Solid Waste Management Divisions are hosting a Free Community Cleanup Event for unincorporated County residents! This is a great opportunity to get rid of unwanted items and clean up your property — all at no cost!
📅 When: Saturday, March 22, 2025 🕗 Time: 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM (or earlier if containers fill up) 📍 Where: Lyle S. Briggs Fundamental School 11880 Roswell Ave, Chino, CA 91710
The Free Community Cleanup Event will feature bulky trash collection, on-site confidential document shredding, E-waste disposal, and free compost.
On-site confidential document shredding will be provided to unincorporated residents only. No business materials. Documents will be shredded by a shredding company and will end at 12 noon or when the truck fills up. Whichever occurs first.
- This program is limited to the residents of the unincorporated County area.
- Commercial or industrial waste from businesses will NOT be accepted. Please remember to safely secure and properly cover your loads prior to traveling to the event.
- If you are bringing waste tires, please limit your load to a maximum of 9 tires. (State Law prohibits hauling of more than 9 tires, unless an exemption is granted. Please call us for more information). Tires on rims WILL be accepted.
PLEASE NOTE: YOU ARE REQUIRED TO UNLOAD YOUR OWN WASTE MATERIALS.
If you have oversized, loose, or hard-to-handle loads, you may be turned away to dispose of your waste materials at your own expense.
THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WILL BE ACCEPTED: household trash, bulky items green waste and vehicle tires, (we do not accept concrete).
The Urban Conservation Corps will be present to accept electronics (TV’s, COMPUTER MONITORS, VCR’s, STEREOS, CELL PHONES, & MORE)
Compost will be available free of charge. Must bring your own containers/shovels and load yourself.
WE CANNOT ACCEPT HAZARDOUS WASTE. This includes motor oil and oil filters, antifreeze, gasoline, drain cleaner, pesticides, fertilizers, fluorescent lights, wood preservatives, pool and hobby supplies, auto/furniture polish, paint thinners, paint products, medications or similar products.

 Earlier this month I was pleased to present the Cardenas Markets Foundation with a $100,000 check to support their scholarship program! This funding will provide scholarships for San Bernardino County residents pursuing advanced degrees, helping to ease the financial burden of higher education and open doors to future opportunities.

Ontario International Airport (ONT) saw a slight year-over-year increase in February passenger traffic despite having one fewer day due to Leap Year in 2024. Adjusting for the shorter month, passenger volume was up 3.6% compared to February 2024.
A total of 450,093 travelers passed through ONT, a marginal increase from 449,893 last year. Domestic travel rose by 0.2% to 414,286 passengers, while international travel declined by 1.8% to 35,807.
Year-to-date, ONT's passenger traffic is up 0.6%, with domestic travel increasing by 1.3% and international travel decreasing by 6.6%.
 The deadline to file your taxes is April 15, 2025. The San Bernardino County Transitional Assistance Department (TAD) continues to partner with the Internal Revenue Service to provide free tax preparation and e-filing services to eligible low- to moderate-income taxpayers throughout San Bernardino County.
