Here's a quick roundup from today's (02/11/2025) San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors meeting:
Fourth District Highlights:
Item No. 32 - The board approved an agreement with Montclair Hospital Medical Center to ensure ongoing care for patients of the Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) requires FQHCs to partner with hospitals to coordinate patient care. This includes sharing medical information, handling emergency visits, hospital admissions, and discharge planning to ensure seamless treatment for FQHC patients.
Countywide Highlights:
Item No. 48 - The board approved $6 million for the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District to purchase 10 new Type-1 fire engines. These engines will strengthen fire protection and emergency medical services while replacing older engines that frequently break down and require costly repairs. The outdated engines will soon be retired as they no longer meet South Coast Air Quality Management District regulations.
 The Board of Supervisors meetings are open for public participation. Public access to the San Bernardino County Government Center is through the west doors, facing Arrowhead Avenue. All members of the public entering the building are required to go through a security scan and then sent directly to the chambers.
