On January 21, 2025, Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. proudly joined community members and local leaders to celebrate the ribbon cutting for the newly constructed study rooms at the Rialto Branch Library. This $824,000 project, made possible through a combination of $700,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding and additional contributions from County Library funds, came in response to community requests for enhanced library spaces that support studying, learning, and professional growth.

Bloomington Animal Care Center Contract Awarded
The construction contract for the Bloomington Animal Care Center has been awarded, jumpstarting the project with construction set to begin soon.
Del Rosa ADA Ramps Project Contract Awarded
This project involves upgrading 42 curb ramps in the Del Rosa area to meet ADA standards, along with sidewalk, driveway, and minor street repairs. It will also include provisions to prevent future sidewalk damage.
New In-car Cameras to Aid Colton Police Department's Operations
The Colton Police Department will now be equipped with new Axon Fleet 3 Advanced in-car cameras for their patrol fleet, enhancing operational capabilities. The $356,000 contract provides advanced real-time video recording and monitoring, aimed at improving the effectiveness and efficiency of their efforts.
City of Colton to Provide Drinking Water to Unincorporated Areas
The City of Colton will take over as the main provider of drinking water to over 2,000 customers previously served by the Terrace Water Company. This ensures that these customers will have a reliable and consistent supply of potable water.
 On January 23rd, San Bernardino County set off on the annual Point in Time Count. This effort aims to count all the homeless in our entire County to be able to go after grant funding and provide necessary resources to the unhoused population.
