Bubba's Tacos in Ontario got a surprise visit by me. I wanted to personally congratulate and present a special award to the Owners/Operators, Bubba and Saedah Ihmud, and their team.
The Fourth District Distinguished Business Award is a program that honors local businesses for their contributions to our economy and our community. I commend and thank Bubba's Tacos for their contributions to the region. Businesses, especially small businesses, are vital to the Fourth District by providing innovation, services, revenue, employment, and community participation. I applaud your community participation, which started ten years ago with an annual 1,000 taco giveaway in November to celebrate your birthday, and now includes handing out 250 turkeys, and for your generosity in giving back 20% of your sales from football games and tournaments to the local Ontario schools.
Serving others and the community is at the heart of everything they do. Thank you for being an active community partner in many creative and fulfilling ways. Congratulations for being recognized as Distinguished Business in the Fourth District of San Bernardino County.

On February 4th, we honor Rosa Parks, a courageous civil rights pioneer whose refusal to give up her seat on a Montgomery bus sparked a movement toward equality. Transit Equity Day, held on her birthday, is a time to reflect on the importance of accessible, equitable public transportation for all.
Once again this year, OmniTrans is joining the celebration by offering free rides all day in honor of Rosa Parks and her lasting legacy. It's a wonderful opportunity for our community to recognize the critical role public transit plays in ensuring mobility and fairness for everyone, regardless of race or background.
Let us remember Rosa Parks' bravery and the strides made toward justice. Together, we can continue the journey toward equity and inclusion in all aspects of our lives. Hop on a bus this Transit Equity Day and ride in her honor!
This section focuses on family-friendly events that are happening in the Fourth District and Countywide.
