Prado Regional Park recently celebrated the grand opening of its greatly anticipated Agriculture-Themed Destination Playground and Splash Pad, reaching a significant milestone as the first of its kind in the Regional Park system. These exciting new amenities incorporate the region's agricultural heritage and highlight the County's commitment to inclusivity and family-friendly recreation.
Made possible by $3,807,185 in General Funds and $1,198,186 in Community Service Reserve Funds, the new playground and splash pad offer a truly unique experience for visitors. The new playground features colorful play structures, and the splash pad incorporates farm-themed water features; both were met with excitement by local families who came out to enjoy the new amenities.
At the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Supervisor Curt Hagman expressed, "This vision was made possible by all of you." He concluded, "Your dedication has paved the way - for more than just these projects - but for a future where our park is not just a place, but a vibrant heart of the community."
Prado Regional Park is transforming into a destination where memories are made by present and future generations of families and visitors. As more new amenities are added for local residents to enjoy, the community can stand proud that Prado Regional Park is a place where the past is honored and the future is embraced.
