Fourth District Highlights:
21. Approved a $58,000 contract with the Ontario-Montclair School District to contribute funding to procure seven book vending machines for placement in select elementary schools within the School District. These vending machines will be used as incentives to reward students for positive behavior and academic accomplishments, offering books as a reward to foster a lifelong love of reading and emphasize the importance of literacy. This initiative aligns closely with the School District's goals of promoting positive behavior interventions and support, while also encouraging a strong educational foundation and further promoting the County Vision.
25. Approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the City of Chino for the extension of plan check, inspection, and ministerial permit issuance services related to include approved annexation area, LAFCO 3268, consisting of approximately 57.6 acres, with no change to the service period of January 9, 2024, through January 8, 2029.
43. Approved contract with Norstar Plumbing and Engineering Inc. for necessary work to construct an additional groundwater well site located offsite of Chino Airport, increasing and extending the contract duration from 784 days to 814 calendar days.
50. Approved contract with Calmex Engineering, Inc. for the pavement rehabilitation of Pipeline Avenue and Other Roads Project in the Chino and Montclair areas. This project involves pavement rehabilitation on Chino Avenue from 0.20 miles east of State Route 71 to 0.06 miles west of Pipeline Avenue, and on Pipeline Avenue from 0.06 miles north of Chino Avenue to 0.06 miles south of Phillips Blvd., and reconstruction on Pipeline Avenue from 0.06 miles south of Phillips Blvd., and installation of a storm drain and appurtenant structures on Pipeline Avenue from Philadelphia Street to Del Mar Avenue.
Countywide Highlights:
2. Adopted and presented a resolution recognizing Michael Cameron upon his retirement after 20 years of valuable service to San Bernardino County.
36. Approved the grant application in the amount of $95,000 to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals for improvement to shelter play yards, animal enrichment equipment, and additional video and sound equipment within the indoor shelter spaces and visiting areas.
 The Board of Supervisors meetings are open for public participation. Public access to the San Bernardino County Government Center is through the west doors, facing Arrowhead Avenue. All members of the public entering the building are required to go through a security scan and then sent directly to the chambers.
