Here’s a quick roundup from today’s (10/22/24) San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors meeting:

Fourth District Highlights:

Item No. 20.6: The Board approved a $10,000 partnership with the Ontario Pro Soccer team, Empire Strykers. This includes a special "San Bernardino County Night" at one of their home games, plus extra tickets that will be given to Fourth District residents, with a focus on providing them to local youth.
Item No. 39: Plans and specifications for the Riverside Drive Right Turn Lane Project in Chino were approved. The project will be funded by the Department of Public Works’ Senate Bill 1 Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account.
Item No. 52: A $5,728 Interim Use Permit was approved for The Bully Registry to host the Cinco de Mayo Dog Show at Cucamonga-Guasti Regional Park on May 3, 2025.

Countywide Updates:

Item No. 27: The County will receive $122,386 from the California State Library for its Adult Literacy Services Program.
Item No. 56: The County entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the House of Ruth, Inc., allowing them to provide domestic abuse counseling at the Transitional Assistance Department office in Rancho Cucamonga.

The Board of Supervisors meetings are open for public participation. Public access to the San Bernardino County Government Center is through the west doors, facing Arrowhead Avenue. All members of the public entering the building are required to go through a security scan and then sent directly to the chambers.
