Countywide Initiatives:
- A resolution was adopted declaring November 4-11, 2024, as Operation Green Light for Veterans to raise awareness about the challenges veterans face and highlight resources available to them and their families.
- The County also approved terms of service with SpaceX's Starlink, bringing satellite-based internet to areas with limited connectivity ensuring that every corner of the county stays connected.
These actions reflect the County's ongoing commitment to improving infrastructure, supporting local communities, and ensuring the well-being of residents across the Fourth District and beyond!
San Bernardino County has reached an extraordinary milestone, earning 200 prestigious awards from the National Association of Counties (NACo) this year! Among these, the Fourth District took home a special honor for the Around the District Video Series with Supervisor Curt Hagman, highlighting the important work being done throughout our community.
This incredible achievement wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of all County departments. A huge shoutout to everyone involved in making this happen!
The beginning of the month marked an exciting milestone in Upland! The Upland Chamber of Commerce proudly hosted the ribbon cutting ceremony for Holliday Rock’s brand-new Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) fleet trucks and state-of-the-art charging station. This forward-thinking investment, featuring 40 slow-fueling lanes and a fast-fill option, is set to revolutionize the way our community approaches sustainability and innovation. With this cutting-edge infrastructure, Holliday Rock is not only paving the way for a greener future but also reinforcing Upland’s dedication to environmental responsibility. This momentous occasion highlights the powerful strides our local businesses are making toward a cleaner, more sustainable tomorrow.
The Fourth District Distinguished Business Award is a program that shines a spotlight on local businesses for their invaluable contributions to both our economy and our community. Businesses, especially small businesses, are a vital part of our communities, providing innovation, services, revenue, employment, and community participation. There are many exceptional businesses that serve as the economic backbone of our county, and I want to recognize them.
Congratulations to our recent Fourth District Distinguished Business Award recipients: Chick-Fil-A Chino Hills, Nuno’s Bistro & Bar, RSL Aquatics, and Patrons Barber Parlour! These businesses have demonstrated exceptional commitment to the Fourth District community and are truly deserving of this honor.
If you know a business within the Fourth District that deserves recognition, we want to hear from you! Help us highlight these community champions by nominating your favorite local business. The selected business will receive a Certificate of Recognition, and a member of Team Hagman will personally visit to congratulate them.
To nominate, simply fill out the form with your details and tell us why this business deserves to be recognized. Let’s celebrate our local businesses and give them the appreciation they deserve!

Exciting news for Ontario International Airport (ONT)! October 10th marked the launch of Avelo Airlines' exclusive nonstop service to Sonoma County, opening the gateway to Northern California’s renowned wine country. On behalf of the Fourth District of San Bernardino County, my Deputy Chief of Staff Peter Rogers and Executive Assistant Jodi James proudly presented Avelo Airlines with a Certificate of Recognition, celebrating this milestone.
Avelo Airlines will now offer twice-weekly flights from ONT to Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport (STS) on Thursdays and Sundays, providing travelers with easy access to over 425 wineries, majestic redwoods, picturesque Pacific coastlines, and charming towns.
I’m thrilled about this addition, as ONT’s growth continues to impress. This new route is a game-changer, offering travelers unique, breathtaking destinations right from our own airport. Welcome, Avelo Airlines!
San Bernardino County wants residents to be informed before they head to the polls on Nov. 5 to decide on Measure L, the San Bernardino County Law Enforcement Staffing and Community Protection Act. The county has created an FAQ document to provide further information.
If passed by more than 50 percent of voters, Measure L would require the Board of Supervisors to include a minimum amount of funding in its annual budget to support County patrol personnel direct salary and benefit costs for operations in the unincorporated areas of the county. Beginning Jan. 1, 2025, it would revise the annual base salary for elected county officers, excluding members of the Board of Supervisors and the Superintendent of Schools.
Thank you, Mateo Cordova of Ontario for submitting outstanding photos of his favorite San Bernardino County destination, Chino Creek Wetlands and Educational Park, located at 15975 El Prado Rd., in Chino.
This destination includes 22 acres and 1.7 miles of trails that feature a wide variety of drought-tolerant plants. The park also offers free educational programs focusing on water conservation, wetlands and watershed issues. The purpose of the program is to emphasize the value of conservation and the importance of wetlands for improving water supply, stormwater treatment and water-use efficiency. Additional park amenities include sampling stations, a picnic area, education center and an amphitheater.
This section focuses on family-friendly events that are happening in the Fourth District and Countywide.
