 San Bernardino County again distinguished itself among California’s 58 counties when it was officially presented with two California State Association of Counties (CSAC) Challenge Awards during Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting.
Voting in the Presidential Primary
 It’s time to vote! Ballots were delivered to the U.S. Postal Service on February 5, so you should have already received yours! So that leaves one question – now what?
The Registrar of Voters wants to remind everyone that voting early by mail is easy and secure. Avoid Election Day crowds, traffic or weather issues, and cast your voted ballot in the mail, postage paid. You may also cast your ballot by visiting an early vote site, a ballot drop-off location or a polling place.
Code Enforcement leads off-highway vehicle enforcement operation
 Over the last decade, the San Bernardino County Code Enforcement team has organized multiple annual off-highway vehicle (OHV) events in collaboration with various agencies focused on off-road and trespass enforcement. This proactive initiative aims to address the escalating concerns surrounding unlawful OHV activities near flood control channels and safeguard the habitat of endangered plants and wildlife in these areas.
Magazine profiles county real estate chief Terry Thompson on public-private partnerships

Probation to host blood drive on March 13
 The Probation Department will host a blood drive on Wednesday, March 13 at 175 W. Fifth Street in San Bernardino in the bloodmobile. Walk-ins are welcome but prior registration is appreciated. Let’s roll up our sleeves and do our part to alleviate the ongoing blood shortage.

Aging and Adult Services-Public Guardian seeks eligible seniors 55 and older for paid on-the-job training program
 The Department of Aging and Adult Services-Public Guardian (DAAS-PG) is seeking participation in the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) for eligible older adults looking to enter or return to the workforce. SCSEP is funded through the Older Americans Act Title V funding and offers part-time, on-the-job training positions to qualified, unemployed San Bernardino County residents who are at least 55 years of age and meet federal low-income guidelines.
