San Bernardino County weathers major storms
San Bernardino County emerged from this week’s historic rainstorms spared from the destruction endured by many other California communities, prompting county leaders to praise county departments and staff for the preparedness, coordination and public communication efforts undertaken before and during this potential disaster.

 An additional $44.8 million will be available to support rapid rehousing for Medi-Cal families and youth and interim housing for aging and disabled populations thanks to action taken by the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday.
Little Teeth, Big Responsibility campaign prioritizes early childhood oral health to combat the most common chronic childhood disease
 Tooth decay is the most common chronic childhood disease. For the third year in a row, Smile SBC and First 5 San Bernardino are joining forces to promote healthy pediatric oral care during February’s National Children’s Dental Health Month. “Little Teeth, Big Responsibility” urges parents of young children to take their baby to the dentist by their first birthday or first tooth, because healthy baby teeth form healthy adult teeth.
County Clerk offers Valentine’s Day weddings
 The San Bernardino County Clerk is gearing up for its busiest day of the year, Valentine’s Day. As the county entity responsible for the issuance of marriage licenses and performance of civil wedding ceremonies, Valentine’s Day is a big day for both the couple “tying the knot” and staff.
Victor Valley Museum spotlights world's first Black-owned dude ranch
This month is all about celebrating inclusion, diversity and culture for Black History Month. In doing so, Victor Valley Museum partnered with the Town of Apple Valley to talk about the history of Murray's Dude Ranch and its importance as the first Black-owned dude ranch, hosting A-List celebrities while also serving as one of the only integrated vacation destinations in the nation.
Photographer Henry Hooks captured the lives of region's African Americans
 For more than half a century, African American photojournalist Henry Hooks documented the diversity of San Bernardino.
He pushed to get the Black community into the city’s newspapers – providing shots to the San Bernardino Sun and the San Bernardino Telegram without pay or photo credit.

 San Bernardino County and the Department of Behavioral Health participated in the Ontario International Airport's 2nd annual 5K at the Runway on Sunday, Feb. 4. The event included fun for the entire family with food trucks, activities for kids, a family walk and much more.
