The San Bernardino County Fire Protection District’s Household Hazardous Waste program provides safe and efficient hazardous waste management of used oil by offering exchange and recycling events for county residents throughout the year. The next event will be Saturday, Aug. 19 at O’Reilly Auto Parts at 1100 N. Pepper Ave. in Colton from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
County seeks community input for short-term rental study in unincorporated areas
In response to community concerns and under the direction of the County’s Housing Element, a study is being conducted to evaluate the impacts of short-term rental activity on renter households and the availability of long-term housing in the mountain and desert unincorporated communities. Land Use Services will be holding several meetings for community input in Big Bear on August 21 and in the Morongo Basin on August 24.
