“What I Wish My Parents Knew” Brings Meaningful Conversations
🤍The 2026 “What I Wish My Parents Knew” event in Soledad brought together students, parents, educators, and community leaders for an evening centered on communication, understanding, and youth wellness.Throughout the event, young people courageously shared their thoughts, experiences, and challenges, giving parents valuable insight into the pressures many youth face today. Discussions focused on mental health, school stress, peer pressure, and the importance of emotional support at home.
The event was made possible through collaboration between community partners, including local schools, behavioral health organizations, youth advocates, and community agencies that worked together to create a safe and supportive space for families. Parents and families were encouraged to listen openly and engage in honest conversations that strengthen trust and connection. Community organizations also provided resources and support services for youth and families.
The event served as a powerful reminder that creating safe spaces for dialogue can help families grow stronger together and support young people on their journey from surviving to thriving. 🎉
