Even as overdose deaths reach record highs and our country’s leaders insist addiction should be treated, not punished, America continues to deny many a real chance at recovery. In Rehab, you’ll find stories of people who represent the failures of the rehab-industrial complex, and the ways our treatment system exploits patients, ignores proven science, and keeps the other half of the epidemic hidden. This book shows how that system not only fails people with addiction but profits from keeping them marginalized and how it could be changed to finally save lives. Join us virtually next week as award-winning journalist Shoshana Walter chats about her latest book, Rehab!
