Coach Al served as our inspiring keynote speaker, helping us celebrate the incredible contributions of Dawn Allen, Melissa Edwards, Zacil Pech Hernandez, and Julia Muruato.
Thank you to Coach Al and his team for the uplifting and empowering speech and for creating a video that captures the heart of the 2025 CASP Awards. It’s a meaningful way for us to remember and reflect on this special event.

Shining in Our Community
Ciclovia Salinas - Building Healthy Communities Monterey County
On Sunday, October 12, Ciclovía made its return to Salinas, transforming Alisal Street (Front to Sanborn) into a car-free community space from 10 AM to 2 PM. As the only fully youth-led Ciclovía in the U.S., the event once again brought families together to celebrate healthy living, support local businesses, and strengthen community ties.
Inspired by the original Ciclovía in Bogotá, Colombia, the Salinas event has been a local tradition since 2013, offering safe, inclusive recreation and empowering youth to take on leadership roles in planning and execution.
Huge shout out to the amazing group of youth leaders for making this event a success!
