You can sign up for one month OR two alternating months (September and November OR October and December) at a time per sign-up cycle. Fill out the form and choose what works best for you.

John Steinbeck Library will be closed throughout October for refurbishment. While the building gets its much-needed refresh, our Literacy Center at Steinbeck will also be closed. But don’t worry, learning continues!
- Open Lab and Independent Studies will temporarily move to Cesar Chavez Library.
- Other literacy classes will continue as scheduled.
- Literacy staff are available by phone at (831) 758-7916 — we’re here to help.
We appreciate your patience and flexibility during this time. Once the Steinbeck Library reopens, all Literacy Center activities will return to their home base.
