Shining in Our Community
Career & Resource Fair - Salinas Police Department & Rancho Cielo
This past week, Chief Acosta, the Salinas Police Department, and Rancho Cielo came together to host an unforgettable Career and Resource Fair, a vibrant showcase of opportunity, inspiration, and community connection.
With over 20 organizations in attendance, students explored careers across different industries including medical, technology, agriculture, armed forces, auto repair, nonprofits, résumé building, and more. One of the highlights was a recent Rancho Cielo graduate who returned, not as a student, but as a local business owner, proudly representing what’s possible through hard work and community support.
More than just a fair, this event was a celebration of possibility. It offered students the chance to meet professionals, ask questions, and envision a future full of promise.
Chief Acosta left students with a powerful message: “Take this opportunity to ask questions. Learn about different fields and think about what excites you… Remember, every conversation is a chance to connect and create opportunities.”
