|
#LitLibLoot is a no cost book subscription program for teens. When you sign up you will receive 2-3 YA books picked specifically for you. While any library items included in the subscription must be returned, all the special mystery loot is yours to keep!
Sign-ups are open for Winter/Spring 2025. The sign-up survey is still open for teens to receive a subscription in May. Fill out the form and choose what works best for you. You can sign up for one month OR two alternating months at a time per sign-up cycle.
We will check in with you at the beginning of the month you choose and remind you that your subscription is on its way. You can then expect to be contacted to pick up your subscription around the middle of the month.

Salinas and sports have shaped author Mike Messner’s family for generations. His father, Russ Messner, coached Salinas High basketball (1947–1977), leading the varsity team for 25 years. Known for his mentorship, he was an inaugural inductee into the Salinas Valley Sports Hall of Fame. When he passed in 1977, the Salinas Californian honored him as “Mr. Basketball.”
Mike played under his father, captaining the team before graduating in 1970. His 20th book, The High School, explores a century of Salinas High’s sports legacy, as well as looking at the role sports play in a community through 100 years of Salinas High yearbooks.

Researching family history can be exciting, as well as challenging. Working groups are a chance to share ideas, resources, and support. We'll use Zoom to meet together, and all experience levels are welcome. This month we'll explore the new "Networks" feature at Ancestry, which lets you link friends, associates or neighbors to family members in your trees.
