Artificial Intelligence is in the news, and some of the headlines are downright scary. With family history research, it won’t do your work for you, but AI can give a boost to understanding social history, writing narratives about your ancestors, and looking for clues that other sources haven’t turned up. The trade-off is, like all research, it must be checked and verified, as it’s only as good as the original sources it may use.
We’ll look at all the aspects of AI, learn the best strategies to get useful results rather than generic ramblings, and explore the cautions that will help keep you on the right track.
