Sacramento County’s Property Tax Payment Notification

Dear Taxpayer,

Please do no respond to this e-mail. Thank you for subscribing to e-SacCountyInfo for Property Tax Payment Notification. This e-mail is a reminder that the first installment of the 2013-2014 annual property tax bill will be delinquent if not paid by December 10, 2013. If you have already paid the first installment of your annual tax bill, please ignore this e-mail.

The secured annual property tax bill is mailed only once each year by November 1, and can be paid in two installments which are due on November 1 and February 1. The last day to pay the first and second installments without penalty is December 10 and April 10, respectively.

If you receive a supplemental, additional, escaped or corrected assessment tax bill(s) in addition to the annual tax bill, please be aware these assessment tax bills are due in addition to the annual property tax bill and do not replace the annual property tax bill.

If you recently purchased the property for a lesser value or you are disputing the assessed value with the Assessor’s Office or the Assessment Appeals Board, the annual tax bill must still be paid by the delinquent date to avoid the addition of penalties.

If you own property in Sacramento County and have not received your tax bill, you may print tax bill payment stubs, obtain tax amounts and due dates at www.eproptax.saccounty.net. Alternatively, tax information may be obtained by calling our automated system, available 24/7, at (916) 874-6622. Select Option 1. Tax specialists are available to assist you during regular business hours between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Property taxes may be paid by e-check, credit card or debit card on the Internet by entering your 14-digit parcel number at our web site or over the telephone at 1-888-877-3575. A convenience fee is charged for transactions made by either of these methods. When you provide a check as payment, you authorize us either to use information from your check to make a one-time electronic fund transfer from your account or to process the payment as a check transaction.

If you use your bank’s Online Bill Pay service, a paper check will be printed and mailed to the Tax Collector. Because the check is sent without a payment stub, for payment identification, please enter the parcel number, bill number and installment(s) being paid in the online account number field. Your payment is considered received on the date appearing on the check received from the Payment Processing Center. Payments dated after the pay by date will be considered late and returned for penalties. Partial payments are not accepted and will be returned.
