Extension of Open Enrollment and Learn More about New Health Plans
One more week has been added to Open Enrollment – new deadline for changes is 5 p.m. November 15, and submit supporting documentation to the Benefits Office by November 22. A letter is being mailed regarding the extension. If you are enrolled in Health Net or Blue Shield, it is important to select a new medical plan during the enrollment period. Help Working Families with Their Taxes
Preparing taxes can be a daunting task for some – but you can help by volunteering for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance. There are opportunities for everyone: schedule appointments; greet taxpayers; assist with tax preparing; be a translator; or screen prepared tax documents. Volunteers begin training in November. Only Days Left of the 2013 Employee Giving Campaign
With the way time flies by it would be easy to forget that the 2013 Employee Giving Campaign is drawing to a close. If you haven’t already, and would like to, go to ePledge to donate to a charity of your choice by Thursday, October 31. Do a one-time donation, or better yet, have your donation taken from your pay check before taxes in installments twice a month. Donate as little as a dollar twice a month or as much as you want to one charity or to many charities.
Preventing Workplace Harassment 5th Edition Available
The 5th edition of the Preventing Workplace Harassment course is now available for the online training option. To log in to the course, the Username is sac and your seven digit employee ID number (sacXXXXXXX); and the Password is your first name; Choose Preventing Workplace Harassment and Discrimination – California Supervisors 5th Edition – County of Sacramento.
