Latest from your Groundwater Sustainability Agency

The West Placer Groundwater Sustainability Agency is hard at work developing the Groundwater Sustainability Plan for our basin.

We were set to present the status of the plan and next steps at a public meeting in March, but given the need to manage the health crisis and protect public safety, that meeting was cancelled.

As we continue to keep physical distancing, while striving to keep you informed of our efforts, we put together a video update that provides information about recent WPGSA activities, including the status of the basin-wide Groundwater Sustainability Plan. Watch the video here

Should you have any questions or comments about the process or the plan, please send inquiries here.

About the West Placer Groundwater Sustainability Agency

Placer County, the cities of Roseville and Lincoln, Placer County Water Agency, Nevada Irrigation District and with participation from California American Water Company, will manage portions of the North American groundwater basin and implement activities that preserve and enhance the current state of the resource for our cities, communities, agricultural areas and the environment. This locally-controlled effort will protect the basin from overdraft, create sustainable water supplies, and support a stable and growing economy, including agriculture.
