2017 Economic projections for Roseville

We are expecting a year of balanced growth for 2017 in all areas of development.

Single family home permits

Single family home development is projected to remain strong in 2017 with 885 building permits issued and a building valuation of more than $250 million.

For 2017, the city is projecting 10 new commercial construction projects totaling more than 700,000 square feet of development and $60 million in capital investment.

Job growth

Job growth in Roseville remains strong, with a projected increase of 2,700 new jobs in 2017.  That is a 3% increase from 2016.

Roseville's population is estimated to grow a steady 1.9% in 2017.

Community giving reaches more than $1 millon

The City of Roseville contributes to or administrators several programs providing help to those in need. Four of these are currently accepting applications.

Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing Funds - $500,000

These funds are focused on assisting individuals and families who are homeless or at immediate risk of homelessness.  Applications can be found here.  

Applications are limited to 7 pages, including attachments, and are due no later than 5 p.m., Friday, January 13, 2017 to the Roseville Housing Division Office at 316 Vernon Street, Suite #150, Roseville, CA 95678 (postmarks not accepted).

Citizens Benefit Fund (CBF) and Roseville Employees Annual Charitable Hearts (REACH) funds - $400,000

The CBF and REACH Funds are for the purpose of improving the quality of life for the citizens of Roseville and Placer County.  Public agencies, schools and non-profit 501(c)3 or 501(c)4 are eligible to apply.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Fund - $120,000

The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) is a federally funded program through the Department of Housing and Urban Development.  CDBG funds can be used for a wide variety of community development activities that benefit low-income City of Roseville residents.

The Handypersons Program provides minor health and safety repairs for low income, senior homeowners.

The Company owns and operates Golf Galaxy, LLC, a golf specialty retailer and eCommerce websites and catalog operations for both Dick's Sporting Goods and Golf Galaxy.
