 Dear Third District Resident,
As residents of the Third District, we have the privilege of enjoying our communities’ unique features each and every day. From the rolling hills of Temecula Valley Wine Country to the pristine waters of Diamond Valley Lake, there are countless natural wonders to see in the Thriving Third District. And thanks to the County of Riverside’s Redistricting Effort following the 2020 Census, we’ve welcomed another gem to our collection: the Santa Rosa Plateau Ecological Reserve.
Located in the communities of De Luz and La Cresta, the 9,000-acre Reserve is home to more than 200 species of native birds and nearly 50 endangered, threatened, or rare animal and plant species. Riverside County Regional Parks & Open-Space District and the Nature Education Foundation (TNEF) work hand-in-hand to ensure that the protected ecosystems found here will be enjoyed by future generations to come.
This month, TNEF will kick-off the Live! @ the Plateau Summer Concert Series beginning with their 25th Annual Art Show on Saturday, June 28th.This fundraiser helps support TNEF’s educational programming including their Third Grade Outdoor Educational Field Trips. More is listed below.
The Third District’s natural wonders have made our region the sought-after destination that it is. My office is proud to support the Nature Education Foundation’s work in conservation and environmental science, and we invite you to join us in this important cause.
Sincere regards,

First Five Riverside Celebrates 25 Years
On May 20th, I had the honor of presenting a proclamation recognizing 25 years of First 5 Riverside County’s commitment to giving every child, from prenatal to age five, the best possible start in life. This milestone is a powerful testament to what can be achieved when we invest in our youngest residents and support families with the resources they need to thrive.
The proclamation not only honors the impact of the past 25 years. It also reaffirms our shared responsibility to continue this important work for future generations. The success of the First 5 Commission is a direct result of the dedication and collaboration of so many. Thank you for making this work possible and for being strong advocates for the future of our children.
