Dear Third District Resident,
As we step into November, let’s take a moment to reflect on those who have shaped our lives. This month, we celebrate not only our loved ones but also the broader community that has supported and raised us. I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to my family, my team, my colleagues, and the entire Riverside County community. Your unwavering support, commitment, and belief in the work we’re doing together have been vital to our success.
As we enter this season of thankfulness, I also want to honor our veterans, who have served with incredible courage and dedication. Their sacrifices have paved the way for many, and this month, we express our deepest gratitude for their service.
November also brings Small Business Saturday, a day dedicated to supporting the heart of our local communities—our small businesses. Whether you’re shopping for the holidays or simply looking to support your neighborhood, I encourage you to shop small on November 30.
On behalf of myself and my Third District team, I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

On October 24, we hosted the 2024 State of the County event at the Pechanga Resort Casino in Temecula, where more than 600 stakeholders gathered to discuss the exciting future of Riverside County. Alongside my colleague, Vice Chair V. Manuel Perez, I had the privilege of sharing our county’s bright outlook. We highlighted Riverside County’s continued growth and its increasing appeal as a top destination for residents, businesses, and travelers.
This year’s event was particularly special as we livestreamed it, making the conversation more accessible to residents across the county. We provided valuable insights into how the county is evolving, emphasizing the unique growth we are experiencing and the vital partnerships forming across districts that are driving our success.

Earlier this month, the Board of Supervisors kicked off Riverside County’s tribute to veterans with the Operation Green Light ceremony at the County Administration Center. The event marked the beginning of a nationwide initiative, where over 3,000 counties across the U.S. lit their buildings green to honor veterans. This initiative, in partnership with the National Association of Counties and the National Association of County Veterans Service Officers, symbolizes our enduring respect and gratitude for those who served. |
