Dear Third District Resident,
The Third District is home to numerous regional assets that put us on the map, including the French Valley Airport. In 2022, the French Valley Airport was accepted into the Federal Contract Tower program which will support safety initiatives and improve operational efficiency. This program enhances public safety by providing air traffic control services at towers throughout the United States.
Recently, the Riverside County Transportation and Land Management Agency - Aviation Division completed the siting analysis, which is the evaluation of where the tower will be located and the height of the tower, and is now conducting the required state and federal environmental analyses.
Next year, the Aviation Division will begin designing the tower. While the project is still pending funding, we are pleased to share that the County of Riverside has begun the process to establish an FAA Control Tower at French Valley Airport. As your County Supervisor, the safety of those who utilize the airport and the constituents who surround it is of the utmost importance to my office.

Third District Supports California State University (CSU) San Marcos Temecula Valley Campus with $5.6 Million in Funding
In June, the Board of Supervisors approved Third District funding for the CSU San Marcos Temecula Valley Campus Advancing Higher Education Programs in Southwest Riverside County.
In response to the long-lasting impact of the pandemic, CSU San Marcos is creating higher education programs to aid in restoring professions with current shortages such as nursing and healthcare, early childhood teacher education, software engineering, and business and hospitality management. The Third District proudly supported this effort at last month’s board meeting by dedicating $5.6 million to help reinvigorate the workforce in the Southwest Riverside County region.
20% of all CSU San Marcos graduates come from Southwest Riverside County and out of that 20%, approximately 80% stay in the region. Awarding these funds will help create a stronger local workforce pipeline, directly supporting key industries that are crucial to the continuation of a healthy economy and overall thriving Riverside County.
