Thank you in advance for your willingness to help support our community during this difficult time! This email is to confirm that we have received your volunteer information submitted through our website.
The need for COVID-19 volunteers is continuing to evolve as the spread appears to be slowing right now. As such, you may not be contacted immediately. We are currently contacting volunteers on an as needed basis. We ask for your patience in being contacted to initiate your background and placement to a volunteer site. We will continue to keep in touch as the needs of our communities change.
There is one area that we are continuing to have both paid and volunteer opportunities in. As you may have heard, Long Term Care facilities (Skilled Nursing Facilities, Assisted Living facilities etc.) across our Nation have been significantly affected by COVID 19. These groups of Health Care teams have often been the hardest hit by Staffing needs. Just like other communities in our Nation, these staffing opportunities and needs are also the case for Riverside County. For that reason, we are especially interested in hearing from individuals who have the skill sets and a passion to care for Seniors to support varied staffing needs. IF YOU HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED BACKGROUND INSTRUCTIONS
If you have received instructions from Accurate Background to complete your background screening and completed the online application, then there is nothing further you need to do at this point. If you received the instructions but have not completed your online application, please do so at your earliest convenience. Please note you have 10 days to complete from the time ordered. If the 10 days has expired but you would still like to complete a background check to become eligible to volunteer please email Angela Tavaglione, atavaglione@rivco.org .
Once you have completed and passed the background check you will be hearing from us as opportunities arise that may match your skillset and location.
IF YOU HAVE NOT RECEIVE BACKGROUND INTRUCTIONS YET
We are ordering new background requests as needs arise for volunteers. As the needs increase you will receive a separate email from Accurate Backgrounds with background instructions. Please note you have 10 days to complete from the time ordered.
IF YOU ARE ASSIGNED TO A VOLUNTEER SITE
We are collectively taking all advised precautions to protect volunteers and community members, and we ask all volunteers to do the same. If you are feeling ill, or if you have had a fever or symptoms in the past 24 hours, please do not volunteer. If you knowingly have been exposed to COVID-19, please do not volunteer. All volunteer opportunities will be organized to meet social distancing recommendations, hand sanitizer will be provided, and interaction with patients and the community will be minimized. Only volunteers providing direct patient care will be provided with personal protective equipment (PPE).
