This self-guided auto tour of civil rights sites in Riverside returns for its third and final tour! Start at the site where Lowell Elementary School once stood before it was burned down in 1965. Through performance and recollection, this experience leading to school desegregation in Riverside will come alive. Drive next to Evergreen Memorial Historic Cemetery for an expressive performance evoking the civil rights leaders buried in the cemetery. Conclude the tour at the Civil Rights Institute of Inland Southern California for a panel discussion and book giveaway. Light refreshments available at the final stop on the tour on a first-come, first-served basis. Tour is free. Supported by California Humanities.

Learn about our local nighttime insects with an entomologist, hunt the gardens of Heritage House with our special lights, groove to the beat, and make neon spin art during this free, family-friendly, evening. The event takes place in the gardens of Heritage House at 8193 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside. Street parking available.
