PREVENT AND PROTECT
Dear Riverside Community,
In response to the ongoing wildfire emergencies in Southern California, the City of Riverside Fire Department has provided mutual aid to assist with the Eaton Fire in the Los Angeles County operational area. In the City of Riverside, the Fire Department has taken proactive steps to ensure the safety of our community. Due to the severe high winds and Red Flag Warning, the Fire Department has overstaffed additional fire apparatus to enhance our readiness for potential emergencies. We urge all members of our community to remain vigilant and safe during these Red Flag conditions. Please avoid outdoor activities that could spark fires, secure outdoor objects, and have an emergency plan in place.
Together, we can stay safe and protect our community.

1. Clear roofs, gutters, and yards of dead leaves, pine needles, and debris regularly.
Store firewood, propane tanks, and other flammable materials at least 30 feet away from your home.
|
|
2. Maintain at least 100 feet of defensible space around your property.
Remove dry plants, trim overgrown vegetation, and create spacing between trees and shrubs to slow fire spread.
