Date: Saturday, January 28, 2012 Contact: Sergeant David Amador Phone: 353-7107 6 Arrested in Man’s Death Riverside, CA -- At about 1 AM on Saturday morning, Riverside police officers responded to a 9-1-1 call of a disturbance at an apartment complex in the 8700 block of Magnolia. When the first two officers arrived at the apartment, they saw an adult female assaulting a male adult victim who was lying on the floor of the apartment. Officers got the female away from the victim and discovered he had been stabbed and summoned medical aid. Paramedics from the Riverside Fire Department and American Medical Response provided medical care for the 29 year old male, a Riverside resident. He was transported to a local hospital but succumbed to his injuries several hours later. The Riverside County Sheriff/Coroner will release his name after his family has been notified. Detectives from the Centralized Investigation Bureau’s Robbery-Homicide Unit and technicians from the Forensic Unit responded to investigate. Detectives learned there was a gathering at the apartment the previous evening and shortly before 1 AM, the male victim was attacked in his bedroom by 5 people. He was punched and kicked numerous times and during this assault he was also stabbed by one of the suspects. This investigation led to the arrest of 6 people, including two juveniles. The adults will be booked into Robert Presley Detention Center in downtown Riverside and the two juveniles will be booked into Riverside Juvenile Hall.
