Dear Residents and Members of the Community,

La Sierra Pipeline Project

waterlineThe Western Municipal Water District is in the process of replacing 5 miles of infrastructure with a new 30 inch water pipeline.  This project will start at their  facility located in the area of Sterling Avenue and the 91 Freeway.  A portion of this line replacement will occur within the flood control channel in the area of Indiana and La Sierra. Due to the size of this project, water line replacement will occur on La Sierra.  This will start in the area north of Arizona Avenue and work its way up the hill to El Sobrante.

Western Municipal Water District is replacing the waterline one-mile at a time. There will be lane closures on La Sierra Avenue from Arizona Avenue to El Sobrante. The construction located in front of Arizona Middle School is being done during the summer break to reduce the impact on this site. Motorists are asked to use alternative routes. Additionally, Western Municipal Water District held a meeting with the residents who live along this stretch of La Sierra in order to explain their project and the impact of traffic. This project will take approximately 1½ years to complete. The Western Municipal Water District can be reached at 951-571-7255.
