Greetings!
Riverside has strengthened laws banning the use of fireworks and will increase enforcement this Fourth of July season. The Riverside Police and Fire Departments will issue $1,000 citations to violators due to the risk of brush fires, injuries, noise and stress on people and pets. It is important to note that citations can and will be issued for possession of fireworks not just use. If fireworks are on your property or in your vehicle they are considered to be in your possession. You are also responsible for the fine if your minor child is cited.
There will be free fireworks shows at Mt. Rubidoux in downtown Riverside and at La Sierra Park starting at 9pm.
Please see and share the attached flyer to help spread the word.
Best,
Mike
