On Saturday October 22nd, approximately 500 volunteers participated
in the first Love Riverside Serve Day. The event began with a kick-off rally at
Sherman Indian High School where volunteers met with project leaders and made
their way to their designated project site.
There was a total of 30 projects that took place throughout the
city. Projects ranged from gardening activities to painting murals.
My office partnered with Meridian Gardens of Riverside for
a morning of arts and crafts. Volunteers and residents decorated pumpkins,
painted fall pictures and played fun games.
Thank you to all who helped make this a successful event.
Your participation and your willingness to serve your community is appreciated.
We look forward to the next Love Riverside Serve Day! #ILoveRiverside
