Availability of CARB’s Final Determination on Livestock Offset Investigation January 30, 2020

On November 18, 2019, the California Air Resources Board (CARB) initiated an investigation into whether the Scenic View Dairy in Holland, Michigan complied with the health and safety rules of the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy when it conducted livestock methane destruction events for which CARB subsequently issued compliance offset credits.

After careful review of materials provided throughout the course of this investigation, CARB’s Executive Officer has made a final determination regarding these offsets.  The final determination is publicly available on the Compliance Offset Program webpage.
