The California Air
Resources Board (CARB) will hold a public workgroup teleconference to initiate discussion
on the development of the Zero- and Near Zero‑Emission Freight Facilities
Project. The Proposed Fiscal Year 2017-18
Funding Plan for Clean Transportation Incentives allocates $150 million to this
project to support bold, transformative emission reduction strategies that can
be emulated throughout freight facilities statewide. Funding sources include $100 million
from this year’s Low Carbon Transportation allocation (AB 134) plus $50 million
from the Trade Corridor Enhancement Account for the Zero‑ and Near Zero‑Emission
Warehouse program (SB 132). This workgroup meeting will provide
opportunity to participate with CARB staff and other stakeholders interested in
the development and implementation of this project.
Limited space
will be available for stakeholders who would like to attend in person, and all
teleconference participants will have an opportunity to comment. In addition, stakeholders interested in joining the project's workgroup should email Ms. Stella Ling-Taylor,
