SUBJECT: Security Gate Hardening Project, Alpha Gate Closure
DATE: March 26, 2021
Scope of Work:
Please be advised that Port Engineering, along with Electronic Innovations, will be closing Alpha Gate on Monday (3/29/21) at 6:00 AM through Tuesday (4/6/21) at 5:00 AM to complete the installation of structural foundations for the Security Gate Hardening Project. Electronic Innovations will be installing temporary fencing around their work area, which will close the Alpha Gate 24 hours a day through Tuesday (4/6/21). The Terminal 2 Loading Dock will remain open and unaffected by the closure, although Electronic Innovations will place signage at the Neil Armstrong Security Checkpoint notifying personnel of the Alpha Gate Closure. As a result of the closure to Alpha Gate, the garbage chute room, across from Gate 28, will be closed between Sunday (3/28/21) and Monday (4/5/21). Tenants are requested to use the knuckle garbage chute room throughout the closure.
During closure of Alpha Gate, Bravo Gate will remain operational 24 hours a day to be used as an alternate.
This work has been coordinated with Airport Operations, Aviation Security and Tenant Services.
Thank you for your cooperation.
