Request for Qualifications

FOR ON-CALL WATER AND WASTEWATER ENGINEERING SERVICES

 

The Port of Oakland (“Port”) is soliciting Statements of Qualifications (“SOQs”) from qualified consultant teams to provide as-needed water and wastewater engineering support services for various projects throughout the seaport and airport areas. 

The Port anticipates entering into three (3) separate on-call water and wastewater engineering services contracts.  The combined total compensation for all contracts will not exceed $1,500,000 over the three-year term of the contracts.  The number of contracts awarded, the term, value and duration of each contract, however, are at the Port’s discretion, and execution of an on-call contract will not constitute any guarantee of business or level of compensation.  The SOQs will be subject to the Port’s Non-Discrimination and Small/Local Business Utilization Policy.

The Port has posted this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) in digital format on a hosting website that can be accessed via the ‘Current RFPs/RFQs: Engineering Consulting Services’ link at the following URL: http://www.portofoakland.com/business/bids-rfps/rfq-engineering/. Proposing consultant teams should carefully review the requirements of this RFQ to ensure that they meet all of the stated requirements. 

Consultant teams interested in submitting SOQs for this work are invited to attend a Pre-Proposal Meeting scheduled as follows:

At this meeting, the Port will provide a review of information related to the Port’s insurance requirements, the Non-Discrimination and Small/Local Business Utilization Policy provisions pertaining to this RFQ.  In addition, The Port will informally answer questions regarding the proposed project, submittal requirements and the selection process.

SOQs must be submitted to the Port of Oakland, Engineering Services Counter, 2^nd Floor, 530 Water Street, Oakland, CA  94607 no later than 12:00 PM on Thursday, November 14, 2019.
