Caltrans is reminding motorists of various lane closures in multiple locations along State Route 49 as several projects continue in Placer County.
Here is the breakdown for next week:
Safety Barrier Project
Extended lane reduction and intersection closure at Lorenson Road/Florence Lane scheduled to end at 6 a.m. Monday, August 4.
Northbound between Lorenson Road/Florence Lane and Lone Star Road, various lane closures are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 8.
Northbound and southbound between Rio Oso Road/Overhill Drive and Lorenson Road/Florence Lane, various lane closures are scheduled from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday, August 4 through Thursday, August 7.
Southbound between Lone Star Road and Lorenson Road/Florence Lane
Various lane closures are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 8.
Southbound SR 49 will be reduced to a single lane until further notice at the intersection with Lone Star Road and Lorenson Road/Florence Lane.
Sidewalk Gap Closure Project
Southbound between Dry Creek Road and Bell Road, various lane closures are scheduled from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday, August 4 through Thursday, August 7. Work is scheduled to end for the week by 7 a.m. Friday, August 8.
Southbound between Luther Road and Fulweiler Avenue/Elm Avenue, various lane closures are scheduled from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. Monday, August 4 through Thursday, August 7. Work is scheduled to end for the week by 7 a.m. Friday, August 8.
The extended lane closures will help to minimize the duration of the work and improve workers’ safety. Motorists may experience delays between 10 and 15 minutes, depending on traffic volumes. The schedule is subject to change or be delayed due to weather, availability of materials or other unexpected events.
Caltrans District 3 is responsible for maintaining and operating 4,385 lane miles in 11 Sacramento Valley and Northern Sierra counties. Caltrans reminds motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert” and slow in construction zones for the safety of travelers and crews performing these improvements. Please reach out if you have any questions.
