Caltrans Traffic Alert | North Lake Tahoe Construction Project Updates For Next Week

North Lake Tahoe Construction Project Updates

Fanny Bridge Scheduled for Overnight Closures

Caltrans is advising motorists of scheduled overnight closures of the Fanny Bridge at Tahoe City Monday, June 30 through Thursday, July 3 from 7 p.m. until 9 a.m. During these closures, traffic will be detoured via Lake Boulevard to access State Routes 89 and 28. These closures are to assist with the installation of the dam diversion in preparation for the complete replacement of Fanny Bridge starting in August.

All other construction activities in the north Tahoe area have been suspended for the holiday week. Schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions, equipment or material availability, or other unexpected events.

Caltrans District 3 is responsible for maintaining and operating 4,385 lane miles in 11 Sacramento Valley and Northern Sierra counties. Caltrans reminds motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert” and slow down in construction zones for the safety of travelers and crews performing these improvements.
