Greetings,

As I step down from my 20-year service as the District 3 County Supervisor I would like to give some closing thoughts.

The Board of Supervisors has many accomplishments to be proud of over the past 20 years.

I would like to acknowledge the members of the Board of Supervisors that I have had the privilege of serving with beginning in 2005:

Bruce Kranz, Ted Gaines, Robert Weygandt, the late Bill Santucci, Jennifer Montgomery, Kirk Uhler, the late Rocky Rockholm, Jack Duran, Bonnie Gore, Cindy Gustafson, Suzanne Jones, and Shanti Landon.

While sometimes we had different approaches on an issue before us, we always did our best to understand those differences and come to decisions that were in the best interest of the people we represented.

I was privileged to follow the firm foundation that was set before my time on the Board, by the following former Supervisors: Bob Mahan, Alex Ferreira, Terry Cook and Harriet White among others.

I want to thank the many County employees during my time on the Board for their commitment to providing quality services that Placer County citizens expect and deserve.

I want to give sincere thanks to all of my constituents throughout Placer County for their support and friendship during these many years and I hope to continue those relationships in the future.

I am pleased to see that Anthony DeMattei was elected to take my seat as the District 3 Supervisor on the Board of Supervisors. During the last several years as I got to know him, I felt that he was the best choice to succeed me.

Congratulations Anthony!

Lastly, I want to give special thanks and appreciation to retired Supervisor Harriet White for her unfailing support and confidence in me and her for encouraging me to run for this office.

And of course, extra special thanks to my Chief of Staff, Beverly Roberts who has been by my side these several years. Beverly has an amazing skill on addressing constituent concerns and keeping me informed about any issues that come before the Board.

Thank you, Beverly, for keeping me inline and being there for me. I don’t know if I could have done it without you!

Thank you everyone, I’ll be seeing you on the trail!

Warm Regards,

Supervisor Jim Holmes
