Hello Granite Bay and District 4 Residents,
We are reaching out to encourage passionate and dedicated community members from Division 2 (Granite Bay area) to consider applying for an open seat on the South Placer Fire District Board of Directors. With Director Terri Ryland's recent departure, we have an exciting opportunity for a new member to join our team and help guide the future of fire protection and emergency services in our community.
Being a part of the Board is a significant way to contribute to the safety and well-being of our community. We are looking for individuals who are eager to bring fresh perspectives and strong representation to the Board. The process to apply is straightforward and we hope to see a diverse range of applicants.
How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit a letter of intent by 5:00 pm on Thursday, July 25, 2024. Please send your letter to the District office at 6900 Eureka Road, Granite Bay.

The successful candidate will fill the remaining two years of Terri's four-year term, with the next election scheduled for 2026. This role is vital for ensuring our community continues to have robust fire protection and emergency services.

The South Placer Fire District Board is comprised of seven members: three from Division 1 (former Loomis Fire District boundaries) and four from Division 2 (former South Placer Fire District boundaries). The Board operates under the California Health and Safety Code Section 13800, also known as the Fire Protection District Law of 1987 or the Bergeson Fire District Law.
The Board of Directors meets regularly at Station 17, located at 6900 Eureka Road, Granite Bay, at 6:00 PM on the second Wednesday of each month. We welcome and encourage public attendance, both in-person and virtually.
