North Lake Tahoe Utility Project Updates for Next Week
Gas Line Replacement Project on State Route 28 Between Kings Beach and Tahoe City
Caltrans is advising motorists of traffic-interfering work continuing for the 2024 construction season on State Route 28 (SR-28) along the north shore of Lake Tahoe next week.
Southwest Gas and its contractor, Q&D Construction, will continue work on a gas line replacement project on SR-28 between Tahoe City and Kings Beach.
• One-way traffic control is scheduled between Ridgewood Road and Jeffrey Lane from Sunday, June 16 at 7 p.m. until Friday, June 21 at noon.
• One-way traffic control is scheduled between Onyx Street and Center Street from Sunday, June 16 at 7 p.m. until Friday, June 21 at noon.
• One-way traffic control is scheduled between Chinquapin Drive and Lardin Way from Sunday, June 16 at 7 p.m. until Friday, June 21 at noon.
Motorists could encounter delays of up to 30 minutes.
All work on road construction projects will be suspended on weekends and holidays. Schedules are subject to change due to weather, equipment or material availability or other unexpected events.
