- Project 1: Double S Ranch Subdivision: Located at the corner of Vineyard and Cook Riolo Road. Preconstruction meeting was held on June 1st. 36 lots on 37 acres.
Residents can expect construction noise during allowable work hours. Dust, erosion and sediment control best management practices are required for all projects.

On May 9th we held a swearing in ceremony welcoming 26 Deputies, 14 Corrections Officers, and 24 Professional Staff. We promoted 3 Sheriff’s Sergeants and 8 Professional Staff. |
We will be hosting our Youth Academy on June 24-27th. Kids will be treated to interactive presentations and tours that could include Patrol Investigations, Evidence, K9, EOD, boats, Search and Rescue, Special Enforcement Teams and Corrections.

We wrapped up three awesome days of Ride with Pride. This is the 31st year for the program and included support from the CHP mounted patrol along with some great volunteers who braved the heat to make sure the kids had a great experience. |

UPDATE FROM CHP
CHP’s enforcement efforts over the Memorial Day weekend.
Statewide CHP Enforcement resulted in 1350 arrests made, 1106 DUI related. This averages to 1 DUI arrest every 4 minutes over the 78 hr Maximum Enforcement Period (MEP).
There were 42 traffic related fatalities throughout the State with 17 being within CHP’s primary jurisdiction.
- 19,000 citations issued for excessive speed
- 800 citations issued for drivers exceeding 100 miles per hour
- Some 1,850 citations for seatbelt violations
- More than 2,000 distracted driving citations
DUI and speed enforcement will continue to be a primary focus for the Auburn CHP area as the hot weather hits the valley and school is out of session.
