March 2024

Greetings,

The formation of the Placer County budget is a year-round process. As the County continues to develop its 2024-25 budget, we are focusing on potential impacts caused by the projected state budget deficit. (some refer to it as a budget shortfall). Since no official statements have been received from the State on specific cuts or other impacts the County may encounter, we must be mindful of those possibilities as we wait until the Governor’s May revise for certainty. The Placer County Board of Supervisors must be prudent regarding any unnecessary expenditures until we know the impacts from the State that may await us in the next few months.

"May the luck of the Irish enfold you. May the blessings of Saint Patrick behold you."

Warm Regards,

Supervisor Jim Holmes
