 Join us for our fall Citizens Academy
The Placer County District Attorney’s Office is still accepting applications for their 2023 fall citizens academy . The Placer County District Attorney’s Citizens Academy is an eight-week program that will offer accelerated courses each week. During the academy, Placer County citizens will learn about the District Attorney’s Office, its role within the criminal justice system and the services that are provided to the community.
Scheduled academy courses will include an overview of the D.A.’s Office, education about the criminal justice process, information on special victim cases, Collaborative Courts and victim services, along with an introduction to the District Attorney Investigations Unit and more. Participants will also have direct access to the District Attorney team to ask questions about key issues that are affecting Placer County, how state policy affects the process and more.
Accepted participants will receive notification of their acceptance into the academy prior to the start. Notification will also be made to those who were not accommodated due to capacity issues.
The course starts Sept. 5 and will be held every Tuesday from 6-8:30 p.m. through Nov. 14 at the Rocklin Police Department. Residents can learn more and apply at www.placer.ca.gov/DACitizensAcademy

CO/DS Agility Test:
The Placer County Sheriff’s Office is gearing up for another round of physical agility exams on August 29th! With over 60 applications in for correctional officer, deputy sheriff, and deputy sheriff trainee positions, we are excited to see who will make the cut and join us for the agility exam. PCSO will also be hosting an insightful Q&A session the week before where successful applicants can learn essential tips, techniques, and information to help them ace the agility test and pave their way to a rewarding career in law enforcement. Our expert staff will be on hand to answer questions and guide them during this critical phase of joining the sheriff's office.
