An Introduction

Hello! My name is Shanti Landon, and I was elected in November to serve as your new Placer County Supervisor for District Two. 

First, I want to say thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you in this capacity! Secondly, I'm excited and eager to represent you on the Board and am committed to being accessible and transparent.

A bit on my personal life: my husband Chris and I have been married for almost 25 years, we have five children ages 14 to 19, and a sweet dog named Huck who is seven.  😊 My dad immigrated to the United States from India when he was 17 years old, and raised me with a deep appreciation for our country and the opportunities with which we are blessed.

Christina Faria

I'm also very excited to introduce you to my new District Director, Christina Faria. She is going to be a wonderful, key part of our team! 😁

Christina grew up in Walnut Grove, and attended Sierra College and then graduated from Sacramento State with a degree in Communication Studies. She began her career in public service with the California State Assembly, serving as District Director with the Office of Assemblyman Kevin Kiley for six years before deciding to come work in local government. 

Christina lives in Rocklin with her husband, Michael, and their beloved dog, Shugie. They enjoy going on camping trips, working on projects around their house, and spending time with family. On the weekends you may find Christina at the local nursery shopping for new houseplants or enjoying one of the many dog-friendly establishments in Placer County. ☺️

What she loves most about public service is the opportunity to connect with people and make a difference in her community! 

Next Board of Supervisors Meeting will be January 24th at 9 AM in Tahoe.
