Placer County District 2 Updates

Placer County District Map Unanimously Passes.

Placer County Board Comes to An Agreement on District Map.

After months of public meetings and community input, our board of supervisors has unanimously voted on the supervisorial district map that will serve our community for the next decade.

The tentatively approved map would keep Lincoln and Rocklin whole and allow the city of Loomis to remain in District 3 along with  Penryn and Newcastle. The tentative map would divide the foothill communities into District 3 and District 4 along Interstate 80, while all of Auburn would be included in District 5.

The map will be presented for adoption at the next regularly scheduled board meeting Dec. 14. If finalized, the new map would take effect in early 2022.

This is my third time working through the redistricting process, and it is a challenge, but I want to thank all who participated constructively in the process.

I’m confident we’ll be well served over the next 10 years by the boards decision.

Thank You,

Robert

The city of Rocklin named its new chief of police last Thursday.

“I have spent my entire professional career living in Placer County and serving a community nearly 70 miles away,” he added. “This feels like a homecoming because for the first time, I will be serving the community that my family and I have been a part of for over 20 years.”
