BOS Approves Funding for Body Worn Cameras for Sheriff's Office
Last week the Board of Supervisors voted to fund a body worn camera system for the Placer County Sheriff’s Office. I’m grateful we are able to move forward on this program as this information will be extremely helpful in the prosecution of crimes and protecting our deputies from false claims against them.
Our Board is a strong supporter of our Sheriff’s office and will continue to invest in the safety of our deputies and our community. Learn more
May is Bike Month
Whether you’re riding for fun, fitness or with family, or taking essential trips to work or shop, you are part of a movement for safer streets, connected communities, a healthier planet, and happier people. Bicycling makes life better. It makes us healthier and it makes us happier, two things that are always good for us and that are even more important in 2021.
Supporting Local Businesses
I was privileged to deliver gift cards from local restaurants to local essential workers on behalf of the Roseville Chamber of Commerce.
The gift cards were purchased by the Chamber from local restaurants with a grant given through the Placer Shares program.

Placer Resource Conservation District Awarded 2021 Urban Agriculture Conservation grant
Since 1946, Placer Resource Conservation District has been helping people help the land. Thanks to a partnership between the National Association of Conservation Districts and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), RCD has been awarded a grant to offer urban agriculture technical assistance and other initiatives to improve food access, resiliency, and their ability to serve urban residents within Placer County.
Soon, they will offer free technical assistance to all residents of Placer County on matters of vegetable gardening and conservation whether it be starting a small backyard or balcony garden, managing pests, improving soil health, and more!
