Placer County IHSS Provider COVID-19 vaccine now available at 8 Safeway Pharmacies

Placer County In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) Providers –

 Placer County Public Health is partnering with 8 Safeway Pharmacies to administer COVID-19 vaccine to Phase 1A Tier 1, 2, and 3 priority groups (see attached).

 Below are the details for the in-store clinics:

• Clinic start date: Tuesday 1/12/2021
• Clinic will continue until 2/26/21 (or until further notice)
• Clinic will be held Monday-Friday from 10am-6:30pm (lunch break from 1-2pm)

To receive a vaccination at one of the 8 Safeway Pharmacies please do the following:

1. Register for an appointment at a Safeway Pharmacy of your choosing by clicking on the corresponding link below. There is a unique link for each store.
2. If you have a medical/prescription insurance card please bring it to your appointment (Safeway will bill your insurance company a small administration fee).
3. Fill out the Immunization Consent Form AND the CDC pre-vaccination screening form before the appointment (links to forms below).
4. Bring your photo ID and recent IHSS pay stub (pay stub can be paper or electronic/ESP) to prove that you are currently employed as a Placer County IHSS provider. Persons who cannot demonstrate employment in a Phase 1A Tier 1, 2, or 3 priority group will be denied vaccine at this time.

 Safeway is working hard to protect you and your health.  Safeway’s stores have adapted quickly to create a clean and safe environment for you.  Their pharmacists are also taking additional steps to keep you safe:

• Screening for COVID-19 symptoms before providing immunizations
• Online Consent & Release Form to streamline vaccine processing and reduce the number of patients in the waiting area
• Personal protective equipment (PPE), including face shields, for all pharmacy associates
• Hand hygiene practiced before and after immunizations, including changing gloves between patients
• Monitoring COVID transmission and prevalence in the local area to adapt PPE requirements if necessary
• Maintaining social distancing before and after the immunization
