Hopkins Village, a new for-sale housing development located in Martis Valley, will begin selling to the Tahoe-Truckee workforce. Forty units (20 half-plexes), each containing 3 bedrooms, 2.5 baths, and a garage, will be constructed and sold to local workers with a sale price of $550,000. An HOA fee of $660/quarter will include management fee, replacement reserves for roads, park, exterior painting, and snow removal on roadways and driveways.
Buyer Requirements
Buyers will have to meet the following requirements:
Total household income at or below 180% of Area Median Income
Work an average of at least 30 hours per week
Employment at a site located within the Tahoe-Truckee Unified School District boundary

Fill out the Interested Buyer form on the website now to be notified when the application process opens (beginning Jan. 8, 2021).
Gather all necessary information and documents to have all the application requirements ready by the time the application process opens. The County encourages interested applicants to contact a lender to begin the prequalification before the application period is open online. Tri Counties Bank is the preferred lender for this housing development.
Submit an application once the application process opens on January 8.
The County will establish a list of qualified buyers beginning mid-February. Placer County will consider applicants on a first-come first-serve basis as the units are constructed. Units will be constructed on a rolling basis in 2021.
